Alyse Hansen
Undergrad Scholarship Recipient 2020

As a final year veterinary student, Alyse has spent her holidays gaining valuable experience in the Thoroughbred industry, working on three stud farms in New Zealand and one in Japan.

Her hands-on experience includes completing five yearling preparations, attending the Karaka National Yearling Sales, and the National Yearling Sales in Japan. Alyse is not only passionate about working with horses but is also interested in veterinary research.

She has been part of the Massey University research team studying equine parasitology, comparing drench protocols in mares and foals on several NZ Thoroughbred and Standardbred farms.
