NZERF Massey Vet Scholarships

Jemma has a passion for the equine industry that has grown into motivation to pursue a career as an equine veterinarian. Recent experience includes working in thoroughbred racing and visiting equine speciality practices. With a particular interest in sports medicine Jemma plans to use this scholarship to gain further experience in equine medicine and improve the quality of life for horses.

Grace Bleach received encouragement from the equine industry from a young age, which piqued Grace’s interest leading to involvement in Pony Club, and eventing. This solid foundation drove an interest in becoming a veterinarian. Grace has gained experience in equine reproductive work and plans to become an general equine veterinarian. This scholarship will assist her in gaining further experience in the final year of vet school.

Siobhan Waters has been immersed in the equestrian world from a young age, having competed in prestigious events such as the Pony Club Championships and the Horse of the Year.

Nicole Johnston's passion for horses began at a young age, where she started riding and competing in various equestrian disciplines such as dressage, eventing, show jumping, show hunter, and showing. Her experience has ranged from working with big warmbloods to thoroughbreds.

Robyn grew up in the UK and attended a riding school, but originally chose a career path that was not related to horses. However, after moving to New Zealand, she was finally able to pursue her lifelong dream of working with horses.
