Research Grant Applications

We are pleased to announce that we are accepting applications for funding of equine research projects.

At the New Zealand Equine Research Foundation, we are committed to advancing the understanding and knowledge of equine health and welfare. To achieve this goal, we are inviting interested individuals and organisations to submit their research proposals for funding consideration. Applications are to be submitted before 30 April for consideration after this date.

We support research projects in various areas of equine health and welfare, including infectious diseases, reproduction, nutrition, behaviour, and more. Our aim is to fund innovative research projects that have the potential to make a significant impact on the health and well-being of horses in New Zealand and beyond.

To apply for funding, please submit your research proposal through our website. Our committee will review each proposal carefully, and the successful applicants will be notified in due course.

Applications must be completed and returned to the Secretary no later than 30 April of each year. Applications are only considered after 30 April.
