Equine Dentistry Video with Dr Lucy Holdaway is now available
Thanks to the support of the Rodmor Charitable Trust the NZERF were able to produce an educational video on Equine Dentistry. Dr Lucy Holdaway presents an informative lesson on the basics of understanding your horses mouth, what common aliments of the mouth may be, how to look out for them and the best plan to put in place to maintain good oral health.
“Throughout a horse’s life many changes occur within their mouth, just as they do for us humans. Because the oral cavity is generally inaccessible it is important to put a management plan in place with a trained expert to maintain your horse’s oral health.”
This video is part of a wider series that cover some of the more common issues horses may be faced with. As horse owners it is important for the welfare of our animals that we be aware of these issues so it is the hope of the NZERF that these videos help in the understanding of overall horse health.
