The New Zealand Equine Research Foundation is proud to present "The Foal," a booklet written by Dr Jane Axon, following her successful lectures on "All About Foals" at the Bomac Lecture Series in 2011. Dr Axon's extensive knowledge and exceptional presentation skills impressed attendees, and we were delighted when she accepted our invitation to write a booklet on the topic.

Although it took several years to complete, due in part to Dr Axon's health battles, we are thrilled to make this valuable resource available to horse owners, studs, and their staff, thanks to the support of the NZ Standardbred Breeders Association, the NZ Thoroughbred Breeders Association, and the NZ Equine Veterinary Association.

This is just one of the ways we fulfill our objective of promoting and expanding public knowledge about the welfare, health, and performance of horses of all types.
